When I was a teenager, I worked at Georgia’s original Baby’s Room location in East Cobb on the weekends and after school. It was then and there I fell in love with the idea of owning my own store. It would take working in the manufacturing side of the furniture industry, getting married, and starting my own family before the idea of owning my own baby store would become a reality.

In 2007, my wife Leslie and I had the opportunity to open our own baby furniture store under the name of The Baby’s Room. After 3 short years of serving the Metropolitan Atlanta Area, we decided to expand our store, by adding 5,000 square feet of show room space, which has allowed us to offer a much larger selection of baby and kid’s furniture and accessories. We also changed the name of our store to A Room Of Their Own – For Babies and Big Kids.

A Room Of Their Own offers first time parents and growing families a one stop shopping experience that provides everything from baby and kid’s furniture to décor, bedding, strollers, car seats, unique gift items, and more! All of our products are showcased in settings that make it easier for the customer to visualize it in their own baby or big kids room. We pride ourselves on individualized customer service, helping each and everyone to stay within their budget parameters without sacrificing quality or aesthetics. We offer a number of financing options upon request.

While we are locally owned and operated, our customers can benefit from the convenience and larger variety of selection available through our online store partner, which can be accessed from this site. We also offer a gift registry on this site.

We fully understand the challenges associated with first time parenting as well as those for expanding families. As such, we look at ourselves as more than just a place to purchase baby and kid furniture, but also as an informational and educational resource for parents. We always strive to be a helpful, friendly place to shop and we pledge to continue this practice in everything we do for our customers.
